Boxers forced to flee ring as BRUTAL crowd violence erupts during world title fight

Video shot during the event at the Palais des Sports Marcel Cerdan in Hauts-de-Seine, France, on Saturday night shows the astonishing scene unfolding.

Chairs and tables can be seen flying through the air as screams and shouts ring out from the chaos at ringside.

Several people were reported to be hurt in the skirmish, which is now being investigated by French authorities.

BRUTAL: Violence forced the abandonment of a world title fight in Paris

Marvin Petit and Samir Kasmi had been competing for the vacant International Boxing Organization super-lightweight title when the fight was forced to abandon.

The contest was scrapped after the seventh round when officials lost control of the crowd.

More than 100,000 people have seen the clip since it was posted on social media site Reddit this week.
